Both Gel Polish and Shellac are "permanent" manicure options, and generally last two weeks or more. Each of them use UV/LED light to harden the polish. Like Coca-Cola and Pepsi, these two [polishes] are practically the same, but that's not entirely. The processes for getting both manicures are the same, there are two notable differences is the Formula. In the end, both are going to give you smooth, beautiful, and long-lasting results. So what it is, is just the brands are the differences and also the formula as well. To make it easier for the technicians who doesn't speak too much English they would call it Shellac even though using Gel Polish but both are pretty much the same. Either way, you can't go wrong, and they'll both last you longer than regular nail polish.
